Put this one under the category of "give me a break." Ranking right up there with suits brought against knife manufacturers for not labelling their product with a notation that grabbing the blade can cut you, or against Macdonald's for not labelling coffee as being hot, is this beauty.
SAN JOSE, CA, United States (UPI) -- A Louisiana man is suing computer giant Apple, charging the popular iPod music player can cause hearing loss from prolonged use.D'oh! Posted by Grayson at February 3, 2006 07:31 AM | TrackBackThe suit, brought by the same law firm that sued over iPods scratching, charges the digital music player can produce volume up to 115 decibels, loud enough to cause hearing damage over time.
Mhh, thats a point I can understand. Of course coffee is hot and of course a knife can cut, but an ipod? Is it really necessary that an ipod is so loud?
In Germany we have limit values and ipods (and of course all other players) are nor allowed to be so loud - they have to limit the volume before selling it...
