Canadians are tolerant, welcoming, etc., etc. as the numbers quoted by the Commissioner for Official Languages's note (Most favour bilingualism, language report finds):
. . . eight out of 10 Canadians support bilingual government services and preserving both official languages. But between 40 and 50 per cent of Canadians believe too much effort goes into the national program.So, there's no mention of how many people are officially bilingual.
